Rustic & Blue
Rustic and Blue is the perfect tea house with a little twist in the heart of Nimman area.
This place is simple and sophisticated, like its food and tea. It is very small: there is the shop with a small counter and a room upstairs with a sofa, small table with chairs and a high counter with stools by the window. The good thing (if you need some extra concentration) is that it’s normally empty, which makes you feel like working from your living room or, in my case, a much nicer living room. It also gives you the chance to move between seats, which can be helpful. It is definitely an homey place with homey service.
When you are alone it’s perfect for Skype calls but if there’s someone else it might be awkward because of the tiny size of the place. I haven’t tried the coffee as there’s just too many different teas to try and they are all very good!
They have a small selection food and all of it is kind of typical western with a Thai twist. You must try their scones with bacon, cheddar and the sweet but spicy jalapeño jam. Their Wifi is free and there plenty of plugs; it’s in an office building so I think that it was originally designed to be an office.
Overall, a good place to work from, especially if you need a more homey feeling.
